or is it not guarenteed?
I am in an in-state student and received the letter several days ago!! Will they change the online portal to show “accepted” or will it stay the same until March 22/the reception date?
He was accepted into other UCs as well. Ended up at and happy at UCSB.
@cahopeful2020 I’m pretty sure the “accepted” status doesn’t show up until after the reception.
We too got the UCSB Chancellor’s invite today in the mail in SoCal.
Got the invite today!
Do any of you think that this letter is indicative of an invite into ucsb honors?
has anyone got the letter today 2/17, i’m in state and i was just wondering if there was still a chance for me getting one
Got mine as well. Keep checking and don’t lose hope!
Can you receive this if you applied to the College of Creative Studies? Not sure how they will accept me when supposedly admission is decided before you are admitted to CCS.
Can you still be accepted if you don’t get the invitation? I didn’t get any mail today and I’m freaking out a bit
Recieved! 2360 SAT, 3.7 UW gpa, major: undeclared in college of letters of sciences
@ruetherford , my older daughter received the Chancellor’s Reception invitation 3 years ago and was also (a month later) admitted to CCS.
@Gillian371 As CCS is the first choice major, was she admitted under her second choice? Sorry, a bit confused about this even if there may have been an explanation in the application.
@ruetherford She was admitted to UCSB at the reception, they announced it to all the kids there. A few weeks later the formal UCSB admit email came. Shortly thereafter she was admitted to CCS.
Wait so if i’m OOS does it still mean I’m definitely accepted?
Is this indicative of an honors college acceptance?
If you still have not received an invite, does this mean you are not in the running for regents or even to be accepted?
@SD2020: The majority of applicants did not get invites, but it does not mean you will not be accepted in March.
@Gumbymom - Thanks for the re-assurance! I’ve heard from several UCs but was disappointed I didn’t hear from UCSB.
