just got an e-mail inviting my D for chancellor’s scholarship, they sure take time to decide!

Wonderful! Congratulations and good luck!

thanks…it has been a trying time for all…waiting for April 1st when all the dust would have settled! Anyone heard about OSU bs/md interviews?

I called the Honors College and they are backlogged on the Chancellor’s applications and still reading. It could be another month!

Did they tell you specifically that it could be another month until everyone gets interview decisions? If that’s true I am very worried for them and the rest of the applicants. During the interview I was told that decisions are supposed to begin arriving on April 15th and for obvious reasons they need to all be sent out by May 1. If they are really backlogged by a month than that is a very serious problem.

Wednesday is over. So much for hearing early this week. Meanwhile, I’m worried that my son is missing out on choice housing assignments at the other schools he’s been admitted to, and Spring Break–the only time we may be able to get to Pittsburgh–is two days away. This is really bumming us out.

My d got her rejection letter dated 3-11 today.

So sorry to hear that. Best of luck with her other options. Will she be considering Pitt anyway?

Yes, we’re going for the Honors visit next week and to see the Pharmacy school. She got into the conditional Pharmacy program so she is really considering PITT. She applied at her summer visit-this has been 9 months of waiting already! and I have one more in 10th grade.

Got the no-interview letter today. Poo. But Pitt’s not out of the running, thanks to the full-tuition scholarship, so we shall see…

Good luck, everyone.

Sorry mantori - and you were so patient.

My DS is going to Pitt even though he didn’t get Chancellors. Full tuition is HUGE.

Going next week for Honors Day

Hey everybody,
I submitted my application for the Chancellor’s way back in November, and had my interview last month. Just waiting on the decisions still… I was hoping that the decisions would come out early in April so I would know if I had the scholarship or not before I sign up for one of the last Pitt honors days, but it doesn’t look like that will be happening. Its a long drive up to Pittsburgh!

so sorry to hear that mantori.

well the decision will come out on April 15th I guess. Can i ask how long was the interview? My D had her inetrview yesterday!

It seems like they all run way over the hour limit, my interview and the one before me were at least half an hour longer each. I didn’t get out of my 11:00 interview until 1:00!

will pitt wait till april 15th before the financial aid package is sent??? After the chancellor’s scholarship is decided??? Has anybody found out about this?

Hate to say this guys but I also know several CS’s who were notified in late April though the 15th is standard. So like don’t get super fixated on that day.

asked them today and they said the 20th! It is independent of the fin aid package!

Hey, I just got invited for an interview! Anyone got advice or things I really need to know?

Also, is there a travel reimbursement or lodging discount or something? I’m really excited for this. Plus, I’ve heard that if you attend the interview, even if you don’t get the full ride scholarship, they sometimes bump your existing scholarship to full tuition. Anyone got any info on this?

Woah, they are still doing interviews? Crazy! There really isn’t anything to know, just don’t panic because it was by far one of the most pleasant interviews I’ve had, really laid back and conversational. Good luck!

Oh, also, they do ask you if you have full-tuition already, because the school selects full-tuition scholarships separately from the Chancellor’s. If you don’t have full, they said they would try and bump you up because they feel everyone they interview deserves it!
