GPA: 3.8 UW, 4.1 W
Rank - My large public HS doesn't rank. Not even percentages.
SAT: M-710, CR-670, Writing-730, (2110) 12 Essay
SAT II: US history-740, P
ACT: 31 with writing.
APs- Human Geo (4), Eng Lang (4), Physics B (4), US (4)
Junior Year grades (supposedly the most important?) - all A's (took Lang, Physics B and US junior year). I slacked a little in 9th grade but hopefully made up for it sophomore and junior years.
Senior Year AP's: AP chem, AP Calc AB, AP Lit, AP Micro, AP Gov (So far mostly A's)
EC's:
Deca (9-12) - Vice President of special events (juinor year), Vice President (senior year), at Deca States came in top 10 in NY State in my event.
Spanish Club (9) - member
Investment Club (10-12) - member
Spanish National Honor Society
Job - Basketball Referee for local league 2 years
Volunteering:
Ronald McDonald House - cooked dinner for guests more than once
Breast Cancer Walks
Relay For Life events
Cooked for 20 needy people during holiday season
Hospital Volunteer this summer- worked 50 hours and have a letter of recommendation from the hospital.
Recs from teachers should be good as well.
Essay is pretty good. My teacher said she thought it fit me very well.
I go to a top 100 public high school on Long Island</p>
<p>Also, I understand that Emory and Vanderbilt have EDII. Does EDII to these schools give a significant advantage in admissions?</p>
