I'm sorry to make this my first post. Slightly leech like, but oh well desperate times.

As the SAT and my completion of high school near my mind is filled with nervous thoughts. I will have to be paying for college myself and I do not qualify for many programs. My family brings in well over 500K a year, so there goes need-based. I am middle eastern, but will have to be marking white so there goes the role of ethnicity. I don't have anything too special under my belt, but I guess I am above average in respect to applications for crummy schools. I do not want to be attending community college my first year. I'd like to experience my first year in a dorm and for that reason I'll settle for anywhere. I was hoping to list some information about myself and hopefully receive some recommendations for schools to apply to.

Mediocre GPA. 3.0 unweighted, 3.7 weighted.

Attended a prestigious public high-school, the irony!, my first two years. I will be getting my diploma from a pretty bad school though. I assume my class rank will be very low, even in this school. My state is Maryland.

SAT scores: 800 math, 650 (hoping to hit 700 this weekend, probably won't though), and 600 (not planning on improving at all) writing.

Extracurricular actives non-existent. I was a fairly promising athlete my freshmen year, but an injury ended that. I did continue to play club sports, but nothing impressive.

I've taken 10 AP exams. Nothing below a 4.

Major: Electrical engineering, possible double major with Business.

I would consider schools in Maryland or Virginia.

So far I've stumbled upon the following schools where I think I may receive aid:
- Capital College
- Virginia State University
- Bowie State
- University of Maryland Baltimore County
- University of Baltimore.

Any comments or suggestions on schools to apply to? Thank you and sorry if this is the wrong section to be posting in.
