Chances look decent, in my opinion, for Case Western. You appear to be in that perfect “pocket” of not-too-high, not-too-low stats that they accept (I was waitlisted with a 2330). Good luck!

My daughter was accepted early action to CWRU with SAT score just a little lower than you but higher GPA and 7 AP courses . It helps if you want to major in something other than engineering or science because they are trying to diversify. I believe they accept about 80% of the EA (non-binding) applicants so get it in early.

Thanks so much for your responses!

I believe acceptance rates at Case have fallen in recent years…for Fall 2013 EA was 65% and overall 39%… With EA applications up 34% for Fall 2014 I would imagine that % would decline…

Do any of you think I should apply EA or ED at case?

Sure, apply EA…I would think it can only help. If not accepted then, you may just be deferred to RD and then you can send new info…good luck!

What about University of Miami??

Your chances are very good at both of your schools. You should apply early to both of them if you can. Best of luck! :)
