Hi, I am a first-generation male senior who attends a well-respected Catholic high school. Also, not sure if this makes a difference, but I am the only kid from my school that is applying to Davidson.

Recommendations- Superb. Both from math teachers that my improvement. For the first two years of high school math was my worst subject but it is now my best.
Peer Recommendation- Very Good.
Essay- Excellent. Wrote about math in a unique way.
Honor Code Essay- Probably the weirdest essay that the Admissions counselor will have ever read. I wrote about Caramello candy and intertwined the honor code.

Thanks!!!!

You should be pretty good. Davidson’s Board of Trustees implemented a rule years ago that said the student body of Davidson had to be 50/50 men to women. In today’s world, that translates to an advantage for men, as there are more female applicants than male applicants, yet they will accept the same number of each gender. Your credentials are good, but being a male will certainly help.
