you've done great, which is obvious, and you have a good shot at any school. but truly, there is no way to tell. college admissions is a crazy process- what the school thinks depends on so many factors. many people with 4.0s and perfect SAT scores and an outstanding talent/ accomplishment get turned away, while others don't. when you apply, just put all of your heart into your file, and then wish for the best. good luck!

You definetly have a good shot at UNC Chapel Hill since they prefer instates students like whoa. You're probably also a strong candidate for North Carolina's governors scholars program which offers full scholarships to anyone in the state who has a 3.5 and 1200 and attends a state school. You seem to be a very strong verbal thinker (like myself) and the competiveness of your school may be enough to put you over the top with some of you more reachy schools such as Columbia and Yale. For the poli-sci thing I would highly recommend the programs at William and Mary (gorgeous campus as well) and Georgetown.

Best of Luck,
Meyer

SATs may be a little weak for Yale and Columbia, but I still think youve got a great chance everywhere

SATs and SAT 2s are a little low for yale and columbia, but you are definitely a good candidate based on AP scores. Shoot for the stars kid

Eh, you've got a good chance everywhere. I had similar SAT scores, and I got into Yale.

Anything over 2100 is pretty much great so don't stress about it. Your GPA is off the chart....and the fact that your school is so competitive boosts your chances greatly too. You are set.

Thank you so much. You guys are great morale boosters!

one question- why did u take the english LANGUAGE ap test? Of course you can speak english, it's probably your first language. It's supposed to be for immigrants or something.

No, there are 2 English AP tests: English Language and English Literature. You usually take Language in 11th grade and Literature in 12th. They're basically the same.

I don't see Yale or Columbia, you're SATs are below average and your ECs certainly show leadership, but no passions, nothing unusual. Duke and Georgetown are reasonable reaches.

thx for clarification, myweatherby
guess my english teacher is an idiot lol

retake for SAT I? what year are you?

I'm a senior, so applications are already in. All I can do now is sit and twiddle my thumbs.

yale and columbia are reaches...as for the rest, you have a reasonable chance at all of them
