My sister currently attends Harvard and will be a jr. Any chance or am I screwed with the GPA and rank?

Wow 13 AP? good job! I really think you can get in... specially coz Havard is into affirmative action and u do have a sister there... really good Ecs too... impressive.. but you know Havard is unpredictable... the saludictorian in my school got deferred for EA w/ a 1600 SAT and really good ECs, but he's asian...

it sounds like a definite acceptance....but then again a lot of the kids who were rejeted or deferred for early decision had amazing stats just like you so its impossible to tell......Harvard's must be acting up this year.

Wow, you're African American AND a Native American? Talk about a hook! That helps you out considerably, but you really don't need it. From what I see, you're as competetive as the rest, so you've got nothing to worry. Just polish those essays and get some great recs.

How can you be african and native american? H might defer you for just seeming like you're trying to pull something fishy... Applying as a white would be you're best shot in that you want to be unique when nothing else is extracurricular and outstanding.

ad coms know that those two ethnicities bascially don't ever overlap, so they will look at that suspiciously. plus, just being registered doesn't make you native american. i stand by my advice above, based on personal experience.

what is? I'm just saying, big one ethnicity, or a common one, to avoid arosing suspicion. It will be unfavorable to have anything suspicious on your resume.

I take offense that you think I flamed. You, in actuality, are the one flaming.

Yes my parents are of 2 different ethnicities.. Being Bi-Racial makes things like this hard. Additionall you must be Native American to register w/ the tribe. You are grandfathered in if one of your parents is a tribal memeber. Read about it on the Sioux Nation website if you want ot be ignorant.
