My best advice is to make sure you apply to at least two safety schools in addition to all these reach schools. Best of luck.

Definitely in at Binghamton and NYU. Sophie Davis should be a match.

Sophie davis? i'm sorry but isn;t that a guarenteed to med school? O.o i wish i lived where you lived lol

yea it is, VERY AFFORDABLE TUITION, and no MCATs...the tuition is what makes sophie my #1 choice, thats why i would like feedback on sophie davis

however, its a boring school...no fun, small school, no study aboard programs, no majors except in biomedicine

=/ yea...i just recently learned about sophie davis also lol

SUNY Binghampton is the only sure thing here (safety to safe match). Why not pick one other school equivalent to NYU that you might be interested in rather than throwing the money away at Duke, Yale, and John Hopkins?

Just a thought.

because i'd rather not go anywhere else. I'd still like to stay in the city, and even if I only get accepted to SUNY binghamton, its going to be very affordable for me. I thought if I was going to spend any $ on app fees, I'd apply to top notch schools that are out of NYC (like the Ivies, MIT, Duke, JHU)...

not city, i meant state...

how can your high school be COMPETITIVE if its only been there for TWO years?

? char............

seriously, smart peeps all tend to think that the whole world is smart and at their throats, but really, there's not that many smart kids if you think about it. and colleges care a lot about personal qualities and charisma. i know someone who got rejected because he had boring essays and the interviewer told him to "think" when he didn't know what his passion in life was.

woops...i realize it's after april. :]

sansan, why not? if a school opened up geared for gifted students, i see no reason why it can't be challenging. besides, age doesnt guarantee substance.
