I have OUTSTANDING recommendations, and writing is my strong suit. The school that I was in from 9 - 10 didn't offer many Honors/AP classes (The reason why I transferred in the 11th grade).

Answer, anyone?

Hmm fairly standard stats. Can you elaborate on your family situation. Were you like the sole caretaker of your sister? That's definitely an extenuating circumstance that you want to point out.

Just be passionate about something and emphasize it in your essay and you'll have an average-below average chance.

So your double minority and family circumstances might help you improve because otherwise you are, to be honest, unspectacular to the Ivies.

Yes, I was the sole caretaker.

Oh, and about the EC's, I also forgot the fact that I took swimming in grade 11...

What about Brown? I am a really good writer. I scored a 99 on the 11th Grade English Regents in the 9th grade, and I read heavy, heavy, stuff, which occupies most of my time.

Well, I'm off for the night.

OH, AND ONE MORE EC I FORGOT:

Medical Assisstant for 3 years.

You should be able to get into the bottom Ivies.

Are you sure, man? 'Cause if so, I'd be ELATED!

By bottom Ivies, you mean Cornell, and Brown, right?

I live in NYC, by the way.

bump..........

US citizen??? I think you have a good shot either way, but being an international applicant is somewhat tougher.

I think you will get into 80-90% of the non HYP Ivies and maybe into one or more of HYP.
