Chances at Ivy League

I am striving for an Ivy League school and just want to know my chances. Obviously an ivy league school is never going to be a sure thing because they accept such a small amount of applicants. However I want to know if i am on the same level as most applicants.

Went to summer school programs at Cambridge, Oxford and Brown.

Lived overseas in England for 3 years.

I would appreciate any responses.

I'm far from an expert, but your academics are great and your ec's are solid. I would think that you'd be competitive at most of the ivy's. Like you said though, there is no sure thing. I would say that you are a match for most of the ivy's, with HYP being a reach for everyone. But I am a junior trying to figure out the same thing as you, so you might want to try your guidance counselor.

By the way, are your new SAT scores just estimates?
And what summer program did you attend in Cambridge?

Is this a joke post? Because if you are a senior, you should already know whether you have been admitted to an ivy, and the new SAT would mean nothing (and you would not even have taken it, much less have a score for it) If it is theorectical -- meaning that perhaps you are a junior and asking for chances if you actually do that stuff senior year -- then your chances of being admitted to an ivy are about 1 in 8, which is about the same as any highly qualified candidate (if you want to see what happens to students who have great stats, go to the individual boards on this site for each of the ivies and look at the posts listing whether a person was accepted or rejected -- the rate of admission for all those outstanding students posting there is about 1 in 8).

The new SAT score was just an estimate based on getting the same on writing as the average of my math and verbal scores on the old one. I added some because the new SAT is without the analogies so my verbal would be higher. But as i said my real score was 1450.

And yeah i should know already. Letters were supposed to ship out April 1 but i havent gotten any except acceptances from my safeties.

You may want to check the individual college boards, but don't schools send acceptances by email or overnight/expedited mail?
