Ummm.... well I'm an odd student, so we'll get to that in a bit.

780 Math IIC
760 Writing
740 Chemistry
Not one B in highschool, Valedictiorian to be
7 AP classes (History, Chemistry, Psychology, Calc AB, BC, Physics, Lit and Comp)

ECs: Olympic Weightlifting two time national medalist (silver and bronze)
Olympic Weightlifting Congress (Gotta help pick the Olympic Team :) !!)
Football and a whole bunch of awards (team captain all this and that Being recruited by Harvard and Princeton to play football too.)

Anyways, I'm a lineman, and MIT needs lineman. The football coach has written me a letter of reccomendation.

Well, I have some clubs and some other stuff too, Math league and such.

to tell you the truth, i'd say you have an AMAZING chance. Math score is fine...
Also, those are some amazing activities - recruited by harvard and princeton? wow.

Also, by "Olympic Weightlifting two time national medalist (silver and bronze)" what do you mean? Is this the real deal? I.e. the REAL olympics? or is it some weightlifting thing that I don't know about. Either way, national medalist should just get you in anywhere - awesome academics + amazing ec's + awesome test scores = any college.

MIT is pretty much a shot in the dark for almost anyone, at least in my past experiences. I think they use the old method of determining admission based on how far your application flies when thrown. Plus, if you were accepted to ECE at CMU you can't go to MIT because you applied ED (binding contract).

Not olympics, Schoolage national championships, still associated with USA weightlifting's national governing body, and still a national medal. Yes, MIT has a football team, I've been in contact with their coach. And I know my status at CMU because they tell football players early so that they can compete with Ivy league recruiters, who basically tell a kid in January he's in, and he's in.

Well, if you are accepted to MIT and decide to go, you will be swamped down with the work load so horribly, I doubt you will have much energy to play football. :\ You would fit in better at a place like U of Mich/Harvard/Princeton, which are more well-rounded universities.

U Mich is D1, they only take the best of the best athletes, regardless of academics. Like I mean you need a 700 if you're a football player, and that's combined Yeah, I know I'd be swamped, but I like the challenge. Harvard and Princeton might be a little too hardcore on football for me. Harvard has 6 AM workouts combined with Spring Practices and other goofy things, and Princeton isn't much better. MIT, CMU, and JHU are all D3, and they will allow me to focus on academics more, as well as my weightlifting.

I absolutely hate how MIT conducts their admissions process. Nobody knows what they use since they are so random and unpredictable. They have been known to reject the best academically and well-rounded students many times.

"Picturing MIT's football team is like seeing Screech as a pro wrestler...ugly and you know it's gonna be painful."

Lol, they win a game or two every year. Just can't get the type of kids they need. It's so hard to find a kid with MITesque grades and aspirations that wants to play football. And yeah, I know MIT's admission process requires a little luck, but you still gotta try...

Sorry I forgot to do this earlier. But I just wanted to thank all the guys who posted in here. My school hasn't sent someone to MIT in 15 years (someone said 5 but my counselor said 15), so I was kinda in the dark.
