Chances at NYU/ JHU ED!

<p>Hey guys! I just finished my first semester as a junior and I'm really anxious about college decisions! I'm planning to apply early to JHU and do round 2 early admissions for NYU (the february one). Honestly idkay about Hopkins, i don't think i have the STATS =(

Rank (school doesnt but definately top 10%)
SAT Score: 2050 (RETAKING MAY)
ACT: 30 (RETAKING)
AP EURO (4) - Sophomore Year</p>

<p>JR Schedule: Precalculus, Physics Honors, AP US, AP CHEM, AP STATS, AP ENG [also taking AP PSYCH and Human Geography exam!]
SNR Schedule: AP BIO, AP PHYS, AP GOV/ECON, AP LIT, Drama, AP Calc</p>

<p>You have good ECs and a decent SAT/ACT but your UW GPA is pretty low for Hopkins. I’d try for NYU ED if you can’t get it up a significant amount by the end of the year.</p>

<p>You’re welcome. I would say that if you could get your UW up to maybe a 3.65 or even a 3.7 (i know it’s difficult junior year, I’m in the same boat) your chances with JHU ED would increase significantly. I know a person from my school that got in with around a 3.4-5, but she was a volleyball superstar. Also, keep up the good work with the AP scores. 4s and 5s are big bonuses, especially in tough courses like chem and english.</p>

<p>I don’t think you have that great of a shot JHU but if anything applying Early will give you the best chance. Good luck</p>
