Which school at NYU?

You have similar stats...
i have 1300, 720 math 1 c, 660 writing
applied E.D. to the School of Social Work.

where are you applying to? which school? ED or Regular?

you have around 60%

im going undecided...
so that would mean the COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES
right?

60%?

i would say 40%

you know, I should stop evaluating others...I am being criticized by so many people now I am scared to goto NYU even if I am accepted to the school. What if all those people get accepted too? lololol a scary thought.

anyway, because so many people called me that I was mean to people who are trying to find out their chances...I just gave ridiculously high ratings such as the Hispanic girl living in New York. I do not think she has even 50%...She did not even break 1100...she has very little chance

but you, I think because of your rigorous courses throughout the H.S. year, you have a farily good shot. I am serioius this time. 60% is about right.

I feel sorry to the girl, I wasn't being prejudiced. I just wanted to encourage her by saying she has a really good shot and that she is a strong candidate...now someone is saying that I am biased against certain group of people. what the hell?

Kjayson,

I was not calling you a racist and there is nothing wrong with wanting to encourage people at all. I just thought that you should have rephrased this:

"I really do not know how NYU evaluates Blacks and Hispanics. But your ethnicity does give you some flexibility."

You were right to say that her ethnicity could help her because this is true. I merely wanted to let you know that saying that you dont know how NYU evaluates Blacks and Hispanics sounds as if you think that they should be evaluated seperately as if they are a completely different type of people. I was not attacking you, I just wanted to tell you to watch your phrasing because it came out sounding ignorant.

By the way, you seem extremely stressed out. Take a break. You shouldn't let this consume your whole life...

Thanks, yea...I need to relax a bit

and CLL what did i do? i gotta hear this lol

LOL, I have nothing to say to you. You guys just seem to come together. Maybe if you both go to NYU you can hang out 24/7 in Washington square and talk about being future admissions officers or something of that nature...

How do we come together?

I thought we were quite the opposites...whatever, I wish we both get in man. :) DEC 15TH!

--------edit--------

how do you become an admissions officer? I really would like to get a job at the admissions office, as an assisstant?

Your EC's are okay but your grades and SAT are a little low. CAS is right behind Stern in terms of admission difficulty so comparing yourself to KJayson7 isn't really accurate. Having a great essay will help you a lot.
Good luck

nobody compared me to her or anyone else here...:)
