Chances at Oxford emory or UGA?

Hi,
I am very worried more so than ever, allow me explain my current condition
I just got SAT results and got 530 in math and 430 in critical reading.
Not only that but my GPA is not good at all.
Unweighted gpa is around 2.5-2.6.
I have taken many ap classes such as:
ap chemistry, ap physics B, Ap world history, Ap Us history, ap language arts, ap literature, ap Latin.
I will have a good letter of recommendation from my ap latin teacher who is great and has taught me for 4 years.
I will also my try my best to write very good essays.
As for the SAT, my last chance has gone away.
my parents decided i not take it for the 4th time because they feel i will get no where from spending more money.
How are my chances? honestly, please.
And is there any way I can take SAT again? Can i pay up front at school or something if they have an extra test?

I think you know the answer - for the the colleges you listed your scores are way below the mid range. You will have to look at other colleges or improve SAT to 1450+ (CR+M)level.

Oxford is really a community college absorbed by Emory. I would give it a shot. It’s still a hard sell, but you never know.

Make sure your essay is read by someone you trust, is real and from the heart.

If it doesn’t work, I would advise going to a Junior/Community College, do well, and transfer. It’s much easier as a transfer student to those colleges who accept students with less than a AA. It may give you time to acclimate to college and get study skills a boost, w/o the pressure. No shame in either!

Is there any possibilities of taking the ACT? That test might go a little better for you but you need to look at other colleges possibly Georgia Southern, Georgia College and State University or Kennesaw.

Well what did you get on Writing? Do you have any hooks? URM/Athlete etc.? If you’re answer to any of these questions is good I think you have a shot at UGA contingent upon you writing good essays.

thanks for replying,
I’m also looking at GSU.
I know my chances are low but i’m hoping they can consider the work i put into essays and other requirements.
@above, I have a ton of volunteer hours from constant weekly volunteering.
In total i have a few hundred hours.

@xAlex452,
it seems my chances for ACT are gone as well.
