any posts that contain the following is not welcomed/will be reported

"spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts. "

Vehemend... your scores are really good but ur gpa is really low for a uc... make sure u are eligible at ucop.com/pathways and use the student eligibility calculator... i am guessing you are asian as well because of the exceptional score on chinese... that might make it even harder. you are in reach of some uc's like UCR UCI UCM UCSB. dont take waht i have to say too seriously im just making a guess.

you can get into the uc's through thier examination alone program. they dont look at your gpa as long as you took th ea-g classes. and your scores will get you in.

this is random.. but haven't you posted this before??

The UCs don't take combined SAT scores. Nice try though.

i really have no idea if they would accept you, because although your sat scores are magnificent, your gpa is pretty bad.

i also REALLY wouldn't try to explain the fact that you couldn't "bare to do any HW in school" because yes, it makes you look like a slacker. If you're going to come up with an excuse, it has to be better than that (I'm not trying to be mean, if that's what it sounds like). Try to talk about how hard it was to adjust to moving to the US or something at least legitimate (I know how hard it can be to move to a different country because I've done it.. milk it for all it's worth!). I remember your last post saying something about maturing later or something, but really, how mature do you have to be to do homework? (Really, I'm not trying to be mean.. maybe critical?)

i just got rid of all my college material. if you look in the uc view book you should find that section. when i was applying all you needed was a 1400 and above a 700+ in all you subject test. i cant remember how this works exactly but its worth looking up. in your last discussion i left a long comment. i was the last entry and i said some pretty useful stuff that i dont feel like writing over so check it out.

I am still confused...does it guarantee admission or only gives you a chance? i mean if the bar is set at 2100 to be eligible, does it mean i am eligible to enter the college or the admission process?

If you do not meet the requirements for Eligibility in the Statewide Context or Eligibility in the Local Context, you may be able to qualify for admission to the University by examination alone by achieving high scores on the ACT Assessment plus Writing or SAT Reasoning Test and two SAT Subject Tests.

Because of recent changes to the SATs and the ACT, the minimum scores required for eligibility by examination alone are being revised. The new criteria will be announced in September 2005 and will be posted here.
