Hi!! I'm currently a senior in high school. So I have a problem. i have about a 2.2 gpa (overall) because i barely passed my freshmen year of high school. I also went through a lot of bullying, depression, ect. However, throughout my 4 years in high school, i have shown an upward trend, improving year by year. So far in my senior year i have about a 95 average. My SAT was a 1500, but i am retaking it in December hoping to get around an 1650-1800. I wrote a great essay, and have two recommendations(1 counselor & 1 teacher). I have been active in a Teen leadership organization in which we do a lot of community service and leadership training, I am very active in a jewish youth organization called BBYO(Which has changed my life, I wrote my essay about it), and i also work at the Samuel Field Y(community center) as an after school counselor for their after school daycare program. I am also currently taking a college course about working with children with learning disabilities and special needs(I get one college credit).
I applied to 6 SUNY schools
Stony Brook(reach school, i know my chances aren't great)
SUNY Oswego
SUNY Brockport
University at Buffalo
University at Albany
SUNY Old Westbury

6 CUNY Schools
Queens College
Baruch College
Hunter College
John Jay College
Brooklyn College
City College

1 Private
St. Johns(Queens)

Do i have a chance at any of these schools? Will they look at more than just my gpa? I am also applying undecided to all SUNY schools.

Should i email schools about programs in which they accept me under the circumstance that i will maintain a certain gpa and if i don't i get kicked out? I really believe that i have matured and i now have the motivation to do well. I REALLY do not want to go to community college.
