Hey, i did this chance thing before, but i wanted to switch up the schools a little. Any info would be awesome, thanks. I'm a white, male, incoming junior btw.

SAT: 1990 (CR: 710, M: 680, W: 600) took it as a sophomore.
GPA: 3.5 unweighted
APs/Honors: Sophomore: European History, Honors English
Junior: English Language, US History, US Government
Senior (expected): English Literature, Comparative Government, Physics B, and possibly Calculus AB.
ECs: 4 years Wrestling team (2 years JV, 2 years varsity), competed in Freestyle/Greco-Roman State Championship sophomore year.
Journalist on an online technology website (founded by a friend)

Will have at least 150+ hours community service at local hospital by senior year.
Extra info: I go to one of the most rigorous high schools in brooklyn and new york city, going to take several SAT IIs (US H, Math I, Bio), first US citizen in my family (if that helps at all during the college process, i was born here).

see that’s why i’m confused with college admissions. everyone is telling me cornell is impossible, but (and i checked) there are kids in my schools with slightly less gpa, same exact sat, no legacy, no special ec’s, but still get into cornell. :/

I’m a rising senior with similar stats. I’m applying to a few of those colleges, and I consider NYU, UChicago, Cornell, and Hamilton reaches for me. Some of the CUNYs will probably be safeties for you, both academically and financially. I think Pace would be a match.

thanks for the chances, but no one chanced me for NYU-Stern Business, which is the most important school for me, as of now.
by the way, I put in my 2 cents on your page, hopes2b
