Chances at the SILC/Bio vs Psychology

So ResLife is getting back to us by the end of this week regarding our housing acceptances/rejections and I'm quite anxious to know if I got into the SILC at South Alumni :O

I heard somewhere that the chances to get in were extremely slim and are given randomly to a limited number of students from a more wider, pool of pre-health students :( I did complete the housing application form the day it came out though, having literally 4/10 of my options in the SILC lmfaoo. So i was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to how their chances on getting in/not getting in went :P

Secondly, I'm pursuing dentistry in the future, so I'd be following the pre-dental track. That means I'll be taking the core for those schools (Bio, Gen Chem, Orgo, Physics etc.); I've heard that bio is MUCH harder and is practically asking to ruin your chances to a good dental/med school, so I was thinking about doing a psychology major instead. Both topics are interesting to me, although I like bio a bit more. I just dont know what the difference will be saying that I'm already taking the reqs to fill the track =/

Any advice would be lovely, thanks guys :D

Bump?
Anyone???

Sorry but I know your chances for SILC - but hope you get in.

IMO it is way too early to worry about your major – you don’t have to declare a major for two years. You will have time to take both biology and some psych and see where your interest/abilities lie before making a decision. In terms of dental school preferences for majors, that is something you need to research with the dental schools.

I hope I do too :P

And yeah I suppose you’re right; I just wanted to keep everything on track ya know? But thanks for the advice, I’ll continue to do my research :D
