chances at transferring? thanks for your time

international student / finished first year of college at a state university (majored in finance)

graduated high school in 2014; just got done with doing mandatory military service (2 yrs) last month

looking to transfer to a different college, potentially michigan, emory, UCLA, UC berkeley

college gpa: 3.4 (it’s a bit low; but I still need to attend one more semester and i’m hoping to bring it up to at least 3.5+)

high school gpa: 3.7 / 4.03 (unweighted / weighted)

new sat score: 1410 (reading 720 / math 690)

four AP’s with a score of 4+ / SAT II MATH 760 / SAT II BIO E. 710

EC’s -> varsity tennis / student intern at a private equity firm / volunteering / nhs / math ASB etc. *mediocre EC’s I guess

btw the ap scores and sat subject scores I have are dated way back in 2013. Frankly, I don’t even know if college will accept them b/c they’re so old.

thanks for your time

UCLA/UCB do not consider HS grades or test scores. Will you have 60 semester/90 quarter units by Spring 2017 for transfer since both these schools only accept Junior Level transfers?
Also, your admission decision will be based on your GPA through Fall semester/quarter which is on the low side for both these schools.

Here is a link for transfer UC GPA’s by major for all the UC’s, so see how you compare:
