<p>Where did you get the stats? Purdue has a good engineering program, but the SAT M+V average is 1300 with a 3.6 GPA as found at the bottom of the page.

<p>As for UIUC engineering, the admit rate is around 70 percent. 25-75 percentile ACT scores are 30-33, but the bottom line is, a high GPA with a low ACT is always preferable to vice versa.</p>
