Chances at UCLA, Umich-Ann arbor, johns hopkins

Hey so I’m really nervous about whether or not I can get into ucla and u of m ( letters and sciences and LSA, respectively) and Johns Hopkins (reach school possibly as Early Decision) so I wanted some input on how I could improve my chances and how my chances look right now

My stats, gpa, act, etc:

3.98 school gpa I think 4.0 uc gpa because I got 1 B in freshman year and uc doesn’t count freshman year, I didn’t calculate it specifically because my school has a trimester system

SAT composite: 2250 // Breakdown: 770 math 760 writing 720 reading (11/12 essay)

Sat subject tests: math 2- 710 / chem- 750

Ap scores: ap chem(4) ap physics 1(4) ap Lang and comp (4) ap euro (3)

Thanks!

Oh and I also have some job experience in the kitchen at Botsford Commons, and I am working on starting a business with some people (registering it as an official business in September probably) if that counts for anything.
Thanks again!

Are you in state for UMich?

Yup, but my dad lives in Cali, so hopefully I get instate for Cali too

I think you have a good chance for all of them. Johns Hopkins is always a reach though

Thanks! That’s reassuring to hear, this college application stuff is going to be stressful lol

For UMich LSA with ACT 33 and GPA 3.98 from in state, it should be a match.
For UCLA, you need to recalculate your UC GPA which adds weight to AP classes. The admitted average is ~4.4.

ED to Hopkins can help a lot. Are you applying for BME or just arts and sciences?

Arts and sciences, probably a bio major. Also if anyone wants a chance back, just post the link. Also, how would you recalculate gpa if the school is on a trimester system? Some aps are two trimesters and some are 3

@rt3016
Your chances are great to all the colleges you posted, but John Hopkins is a high match or a low reach.
Chance back?

I think you have a good shot at UCLA and UMich, but JHU is always a tricky one, so I’d place that as a reach.

Your extracurriculars really do add a lot about you so that’s definitely a plus. Good luck!
