Hello! Like many seniors I am becoming increasingly stressed as I wait to hear from schools. This, coupled with getting my first rejection today has me very on edge. At this point, I would rather hear that I have no shot and get over it than to keep jumping between thinking I will be accepted or thinking I will be denied. Thank you for all responses! I am applying for Business at UGA and Civil Engineering at U of SC
Here are my stats:
3.8 UW
4.1 W
6 AP’s/ 2 Honors
29 ACT (30 Superscore)
EC’s- Football, Rugby, Church involvement
Community Service- Youth Sports Coach (50 Hours)
Work Experience- I don’t know if this counts but I run a yardwork business during summer.
I go to a competitive high school in California. Again, any replies are much appreciated.
FWIW Nephew was deferred to regular admission from EA at UGA with a 35 ACT, 3.75 GPA–but not in top 25% of class, URM, Eagle Scout, athlete–but not recruited.
I’d assume be delighted in being rejected from UGA or SC. There really isn’t much value or benefit paying triple the tuition out of state. You have a ton of in-state options at a fraction of the price.
