Chances at UNC biomedical program? and other Engineering Schools?

What are my chances getting into UNC for Biomedical engineering? Also, based off my stats, what other colleges will be a good fit as far a stats, I would like to stay on the East coast of the U.S

My stats:
Weighted GPA: 4.8
Unweighted: 3.7
ACT: 21

I am an IB Diploma candate, I currently take IB MathSL, IB Chem HL, TOK, IB English HL, IB History of the Americas, IB Computer Science, IB Sports Exercise and Health Science, IB French and will be taking AP physics next year along with my first year of band playing the clarinet.

I am currently junior and have been doing Science Olympiad all my years in High School, and I am currently President of Science Olympiad at my School. I am active in my school’s Beta club , Key club, and Relay for life team. In my junior year I got nominated to go to North Carolina’s Governors School for Science. Sophomore year I was on student council.

Furthermore, I am currently holding an internship at a Bioreposatory at a research center near my viewing area. In addition to 2 other jobs, one in the food industry and another at a track out center for children.

I am also in the top 10% of my class.

What are my chances I will get in, I an very nervous for next year and what can I do to improve my application?

your stats look great. I’d try to work on my test scores if I were you. NCSU admits to the engineering school and major within is determined by your grades on six courses during your first year. Or, if you place out of classes, the scores you bring with you on those placement tests. Biomedical is the smallest engineering major at NCSU and is therefore the hardest to get into. I did hear a stat at admitted students day yesterday that 85% of kids got their first choice major. Those were the kids who had already been admitted to NCSU engineering school, just choosing their majors. Best of luck to you…keep up the great work!

I would say you would most likely get in if you can get your ACT score up to about a 27. Your ACT seems low relative to your GPA. The rest of your stats look great.
