How challenging was your curriculum? Any APs etc.?

took the most challenging schedule possible all four years. will have taken 8 APs total… 3 junior year and 5 senior year. got a 5 in calc ab, 4 in chem, and 2 in history junior year

I’d just take the SAT again to boost it a little and not put the 2 on your common app. Besides that, you seem to be a really strong candidate

AP scores do not matter for UMich. What is your intended major and are you in state?

I agree with the posters above. As long as you raise your SAT a little, you should be good :)

Your SAT scores are just a little on the low side (you probably won’t need to retake), but everything else is looking great. I think you’ve got a pretty good chance.

Good luck!

@billcsho AP scores are considered last I’ve heard.

^ Not for admission. They consider the course rigorous by taking AP classes though. They don’t even require SAT2.

If OP is applying to CoE, it would be a reach for oos and high match to low reach for in state (ACT mid 50 31-34). If OP is applying LSA, it would be a match for in state and a high match for oos (SAT/ACT slightly above 25%).

It seems people are not keeping up with the current stat. The admission stat for 2013 has been posted at their website. The mid 50 ACT for UMich overall is 29-33 (which is the same as last year) while mid 50 SAT is 2030-2250. Average GPA is 3.85 for UMich overall and 3.9 for CoE.

If you raise your SAT, you’ll probably get in

I have already taken the sat 3 times. I am taking the act again and the math and chem subject tests. I will be applying for engineering. And question… how do I put ap scores on common app?
