Chances at USC, UMiami, Rice as a transfer

Hi all, I am looking to transfer in Fall 2008 after I have completed two years at my current school.

Here are some of my stats:
SAT's: 1390 (760 M, 630 CR) and a 630 on writing so total 2020
SAT II- Math 1c: 800
Chemistry: 640
Biology: 660
Unweighted GPA: About 93
Weighted GPA: Over 95
I took a rigorous schedule, also I held a couple of leadership positions with my school SGA and Key Club.

College GPA thus far: 3.68, Major: Electrical engineering
I am a Senator in SGA and Freshman Orientation Leader.

Assuming I work even harder next year and bring my GPA to 3.75 and above, what are my chances at getting accepted at USC, UMiami, or Rice University as a transfer student. I will likely still be majoring in electrical engineering.

Through collegeboard.com, I calculated my EFC to be circa $13,000. So with that information and my grades, what type of financial aid package do you think I can expect from each of these schools. Also if anyone has any other suggestions for schools to look into, please let me know.

Thanks

what's your current school?

Hofstra in Long Island. How important is that anyway?

bump

come on anyone. Please?

one last bump.. is there anyone out there?

you have a good shot...just make sure you bring your GPA up next year.

i think you'll get a great financial aid package too

If you want money at Miami, make sure you have the 3.75. That qualifies you for consideration for a lot of the transfer scholarships, in addition to 11K in grants that they will give you, making the school much more affordable.

I don't know much about the transfer admissions process on the other schools, but I believe you're good for Miami as is (but it's not affordable as is, they max out grants at 11K). Get the 3.75 this semester, get the 16K scholarships, they'll give you 11K in grants (27K free money total), and then the school is definitely affordable (COA = 44K - 27K grants = 17K total cost).

although high school is generally not looked at after 30 or more credits are acquired, will my relatively strong high school record still help me? And also do I still have to send the schools my High School Transcript and SAT?

I think you're a strong applicant for Rice.
