Chances at USF (And other FL Universities)

<p>I am a high school senior, who is applying to colleges in Florida and I would like to know my chances. I am graduating through the Academy of Finance.</p>

<p>GPA Unweighted : 2.5
Weighted: 3.1</p>

<p>(Both will be higher after first semester)</p>

<p>We launched in March and have grown to quite successful! Now in October, almost 7 months later we have over 370,000 views with over 100,000 of the views being produced in September which shows excellent growth.</p>

<p>I also manage a team of 10+ writers. 5 of my staff members attend the same high school as me but the others are located across the globe including Las Vegas, Perth of Australia, Bishop Auckland of England, New York, Ohio, ect.</p>

<p>Can someone please tell me how much "Special Skills/Interests" are to colleges in general? I am hoping that the success of my website and my managing skills will shine a light on my application. With that said, please be as honest as possible.</p>

<p>Community Service: Will have between 250-300 hours by the end of the year.</p>

<p>So far I have been accepted at FGCU. I have applications submitted to FAU and USF. The University of South Florida is by far my first choice but I am considering applying to UCF and FSU as well, if you believe I stand a chance.</p>

<p>Personally, I would be confident in an acceptance from FAU because I think your good ACT and ec’s will offset the GPA… Idk about USF though with that GPA because its more competitive, but I do know they have a chart they used for acceptance. I’d do some research on that, maybe use cappex?</p>

<p>Thanks. Even if I get into FAU, I won’t be attending because it’s too close to home and I would need to commute. I think based on the chart, I have a shot. <p>UF and FSU are deff. noways for you with your GPA but FAU or maybe a small private school like Lynn or Barry would be a good fit for you. FIT and FGCU might work for you but I would just apply to schools and see what happens. I think USF you might have a good chance with your ACT but that GPA is very low so maybe not. You can apply and see what happens! Goodluck</p>

<p>I have no interest in going to UF and I was just pondering on applying to FSU for Summer but I don’t think I will because I don’t really know much about the school and the opportunities it holds. I have already been accepted to FGCU and FAU. I called FAU after getting accepted and was told my GPA was recalculated to a 3.23 which gives me some confidence. I still have applications out at USF and UCF. Thanks</p>
