Chances at Villanova EA?

Hey everyone,

I know that Villanova is a "difficult" school to get into, and I've hard that the competition is even stiffer for EA applicants. I'm wondering what you guys think my chances are EA. Also, is it true that you cannot be rejected EA, only deferred or accepted?

ACT-
31 (35 E, 31 M, 29 R, 28 S) and, (different sitting)
31 (35 E, 30 M, 28R, 30 S) (not sure which is better)

I'm retaking in a couple of weeks and expecting a 32.

Subject Tests-
waiting on scores, but hoping for 700ish lit and 700ish history

ECs-
A few leadership postions around school, (lots of leadership dealing with community service), lots of community service, sports (captain of my team 10-12), work 10 hours a week school-year, 40 hours a week summer, NHS, etc. (nothing too extraordinary, but I'm definitely active at school and in my community)

I'm applying undecided--but leaning towards the humanities/social sciences

Soooo... what do you think?

Also, how much of a factor do you think the supplemental essay plays?

I’m applying to Villanova EA as well.
I dont know if you cannot be rejected. I know its like that for Georgetown, but not sure for other schools.
You don’t really have a focus in your ECs but I’m not sure if that will play in a big factor.
Essays will count for a lot of your application. They should be strong.
I think you’ve got an okay chance. With strong essays that demonstrate your passion for the school/for something, you should be solid!

Good luck!

Thanks, anyone else have any comments?

I do have one focus EC sort of… I was just very vague in my post. I horseback ride 8-10 hours a week, work at a barn 10 hours a week to help pay for riding, compete regularly, and I’m involved in the equestrian club at school.
