<p>So i'm currently a highschool student in a small private school. I've come through a lot. My father died freshman year, then both my grandmother and grandfather died sophomore year. My total gpa now is a 3.0 and my SAT score is 1810. breakdown : Wr-640. CR-580 M-590
I completely messed up my application in which i didnt put that my father and both my grandparents died under the box where you are supposed to fill in Family Obligation. But i did skim across it in my essay. I feel like my chances to Rutgers are now down the drain but everybody in my school thinks Rutgers is somewhat of a "fall-back" school. I do live in New Jersey. ALSO! Under the schools interested I ONLY put down the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, was that a mistake? Does Rutgers have sort of a "re-apply" date. Like an Early Action 2? Really need help...Rutgers is my DREAM school :(</p>
<p>Your GPA and SAT are good enough. If you plan to attend SEBS, then there is no problem with only applying there. However, I have heard that if you want to change your major, you can only change into schools that you have been accepted to (i.e. School of Engineering, School of Arts and Sciences, School of Business). You’ll be fine.</p>
<p>I am sure you can get into SEBS. You can also call the schools and tell them you would like to apply to other schools.</p>
<p>Your GPA and SAT are great for the school, perfect match (SAT scores are outstanding, considering their average is like a 1700)</p>

<p>Dont let anyone tell you rutgers is just a fall back, Im in the top 10% of my grade and Im going to RU next year…its a great school.</p>
