Please chance me! Will chance back!

you have great scores and ec’s. Good shot as any at top schools

I think I replied to a chance thread you made earlier and I along with others suggested research. I’m glad to see that you were able to find stellar opportunities. I would recommend entering competitions such as Siemens and Intel STS. Your leadership and service is outstanding - and the focus in medicine is notable. Again, solid shot at all of your choices. (Note: being Indian is not as big of a disadvantage as it’s made out to be).

dblazer: hey!!! yeah i think you did. thanks so much for your advice. i really took it to heart and was able to find two awesome opportunities this summer. I think it’ll really make a difference. I really appreciate it!

i’ll definitely look into the Siemens and Intel STS.

thanks so much.

bump. any other opinions?

Your schools counselors can give you the best idea. Admissions is complicated from elite boarding schools where you’re competing with a lot of legacies, top URMs and recruited athletes. At most, HYPS are almost impossible without a hook. You look good for the others.

ahh okay thanks Waverly!

Decent shot at HYP, in at case western and uMich, good chance at Jhu.

thanks cortana. anyone else?

10charbump

got a 780 on SAT subject Chemistry and 780 on Math level 2. will that help or hurt my resume?

Neither. SAT ii scores really don’t matter that much as long as you get 7XX. Those are great scores but they really don’t improve your chances.

Superb grades and test scores. I’m sure you’ll get into at least one if not more. Good luck.

You are on the right track - good grades, good standardized test scores, and decent extracurricular activities. I say good chance at all the schools you are applying to.

Start your essays now. Once school starts, especially with AP classes, you’ll be so busy and will have little time to write a good essay.

Awesome grades and test scores. Even better awards; you can dazzle them with all those cool acronyms. Id say you’re a shoe in for nearly all of that besides the fancy schools. Those are basically a poopshoot. Just hope your app is on top of the pile and write a baller essay. I walkways wanted to go to a cool boarding school. :(

Chance me back?

thanks so much guys, i really appreciate. i’d love to chance all of you back
SuaSponte: can you link me to your Chance Me thread?

thanks again guys

Look solid for all choices, except as Waverly stated HYP which are a roll of the dice. Also, think about schools with good pre-med programs like Vandy, Emory, NW, Duke, Wash U, and Rice where you might get significant scholarships.

thanks so much! i’ll add those schools to my list!
