chances for a social recluse?

Hi, just wondering if you guys would evaluate my chances. I'm from Maine, resident of NH, grew up all over europe in military schools. Northeastern is my number 1 school, right along with BU...I've been in love with Boston since i visited the aquarium when I was 3. I'm really nervous about the whole college thing. I'm a tad lazy in school and I don't participate in ec's. It's just not my thing. I'd appreciate any feedback, good or bad. Thanks a lot.

sat--m680 cr670 w690
satII's in october--lit and u.s. history
gpa 3.75 weighted

extra curriculars--basically nothing important. honestly, i'm not into organized activities. i volunteered/will be volunteering at the hospital where i live, because i'm interested in medicine or something related, but not for a significant number of hours. I'm in NHS and i did spanish club on and off for two years, but that's hardly worth mentioning. softball is my sport of choice, although i didn't play for the school, so i guess that doesn't carry much weight. summer allstar team freshman year, club team sophomore year.

ap's were world history, aplac, apus, 3, 4, 3, respectively.

this year, i'm taking apbio, apchem, apgov, and apstats, along with spanish 4 (i really enjoy spanish--possible minor...), english 12, and some other meaningless elective.

i guess that's about it. anything else, just ask. Again, thanks a lot for your feedback. please be ruthless.

Hmm. Northeastern chances depend on your major. Do you know what you want to major in? As far as BU goes, my son is from CA, had a better-4.05 weighted GPA, pretty outstanding ECs and slightly better, 730V but 650 m and he was waitlisted at BU. He really wanted NEU anyway so it all worked out but I would say depends on your major, NEU might be a match but BU is a reach...

thanks for the reply. yeah, i knew bu was a reach from the start, which is why you could say i'm more concerned with my chances for northeastern. and no, i don't really know which major i'll be going for. do you know which majors/schools/programs are typically more/less competitive for admission? again, thanks for the info.

Most Competitive NEU Schools/ programs:

Honors Program

College of Computer Science

College of Engineering

Bouve' Pharmacy Program

College of Business (except for International Business which is super competitive)

College of Arts & Sciences (except for architecture which is highly competitive)

College of Criminal Justice

thanks very much, maxiumus. that's good to know. since i'm not particularly sure what major i'm going for i'll probably just go for arts and sciences, which is kind of general and related to what i might be interested in. thanks again.

1) Is the college of engineering selective and make my chances of getting in harder compared to CAS?

2) Do I have to apply to the honors program or am I automatically considered for it?

Thanks

You are automatically considered for the honors program..no separate application. See above from Maximus re: different college and selectivity.
Don't forget that they have non binding EA.

Does applying EA advantageous and improve one's chances of getting in like Early decision? I read somewhere that the non-binding factor does not make it as attractive as Early decision. Hence, EA is treated the same as RD.

Does northeastern have stats posted for its engineering school? I tried finding for specific stats but to no avail.

Thanks

Similar to ED, applying EA is viewed as "showing interest." So no, EA is not treated the same as RD.

According to what I could find on line, the average SAT for students enrolled in the engineering program was 1273 (class that entered in 2005).
