My top (reach) school is Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration. I was wondering if dropping my science class would hurt my chances of admission. The website recommends two years, and I have a total of four high school science credits, one from an honors course in middle school and 3 from high school (but no APs).
I'm currently enrolled in AP Environmental Science but I really DO NOT want to be. I was originally planning on dropping it until my guidance counselor strongly recommended that I have a science course for senior year and that dropping it would hurt my chances severely.

Currently, my schedule looks like this:
1 - AP Calculus AB
2 - AP Government and Politics
3 - Free
4 - AP French
5 - College Business law
6 - AP Language and Composition
7 - Chamber Choir
8 - AP Environmental Science
9 - AP Environmental Science / gym

I would really like to drop APES but now I'm having doubts...
My reasons for possibly not taking a science course senior year are: 1) to focus on more rigorous AP courses like Calculus, 2) I heard colleges don't consider APES highly, 3) I have no intention of pursuing a career or major in science (I want to go into hospitality management, clearly), and 4) Cornell SHA only requires 2 years of science and I already have 3-4.

Should I stay in or drop out? Thanks!
