I got into marketing/advertising/event planning after joining my local TEDx event planning team (I was director of marketing this year and will be president next year). I really love the professional environment, diversity, and high level of learning at UPenn, and need some advice on my current prospects and how to prepare for applying to a great business school like Wharton.

Next year, I'm going to be a junior at an intense, competitive high school and am taking the advanced math lane for seniors. My unweighted GPA average is 3.8, and I got a 750 on my SAT II Math, which I know is kind of low for a school like Wharton. My advanced courses for the next two years include AP Spanish, AP Statistics, AP Econ, AP English, AP Psychology, AP BC Calc, AP Bio, and AP Environmental Science. And I'm Chinese too, which probably puts me at a disadvantage.

Extracurriculars:
- Organizing annual community TEDx event
- Spanish Honor Society
- Speech and Debate
- Art (participated in and won a few competitions)
- Flute (did the standard state testing, participated in a few competitions if that should be mentioned at all)
- Founder and Editor-in-Chief of an Ezine
- Looking to make a nonprofit with a few friends
- Intern at local media center in film production

I'm kind of worried about my how few extracurriculars I have compared to other students, but I pour all of my time into organizing the TEDx event and managing my Ezine that it's pretty hard to squeeze anything else in there without going crazy. However, I'm looking to intern at a local company/nonprofit to get more experience/exposure to the field.

Any advice, thoughts, and recommendations much appreciated. Thanks!
