Weak Points: no sports, I am white, scores aren't phenomenal

Any recommendations for extracurricular programs that I should have done better? Any suggestions on programs that look good on the application? Please tell me what you think about my chances, I want to attend Penn SO BAD :)!

I’m assuming you are doing ED but Wharton is a reach for you because of the lack of business/econ/finance related ECs. Stress your fundraising/marketing skills. Did you taken macro/micro and get a 5? That will be important. Finally, write an amazing essay and you might get in (but probably not).

Your test scores are great, certainly not perfect, but you can definitely still get in if the rest of your application is strong. I hope you took a lot of business-related classes and did well in them in high school. I agree that having AP Macro and Micro would be good. You do have a couple business EC’s, so I think you’re generally okay in that regard. You will need very compelling essays as well. Since it’s Penn, I would also get excited about your other options, but I really wish you luck!

Thank you both for your advice! I did take both macro and micro. Got a 4 on macro and 5 on micro. Yeah im definitely getting siked about some other choices too lol

I think you have a pretty good chance. Your standardized scores are a little on the low end, but your GPA and class rank is very solid, which is what matters more.

I have also heard that lots of students make Wharton w/o business extracurriculars, so don’t worry about that too much. Spend your time on building a compelling application.

I’m applying ED too; hope to see you there!
