Chances for BU?

<p>uw GPA: 3.8 w 4.0
3 AP’s : AP Human Geography 3 (freshman), U.S History 5 (junior), English 4 (junior)
In my senior year I’m taking 5 AP’s and will be college career counselor
*My SAT score is low despite taking a class- going to retake: Math 510, Reading 530, Writing 660 (1700)
Subjects Literature: 530 U.S History 660
*EC-Ballet since I was three until I got injured the beginning of my junior year then had to have physical therapy and knee surgery but will return
*Youth and Government for two years with 2 Awards
*Leadership- President of Key Club , V.P and Pres. of club that spends time with students of special needs, Historian of End Genocide Now Club, V.P of temple youth group, Senator in Leadership, Teen Council at library
*Volunteering- Sea Ranger at local aquarium for 3 years and Pre-k Assistant for two years,
*Academic achievement Award in AP English

  • California Scholarship Federation for three years
    Summers: Volunteer at ballet camp, ballet camp attendee, community college anthropology class, USC summer program, peace camp, docent at aquarium
    Extra stuff: Daughter of single disabled mother, plan on majoring in Environmental Analysis and Policy and International Relations or Anthropology</p>

<p>You’re more than qualified for BU, in my opinion. The only thing that might hold you back is your SAT scores at this point, but you still have half a year+ to improve those.</p>

<p>You might consider taking the ACT, instead. I think it’s an easier test. The only trick is that they give you less time. If you think that’s something you might excel in, then look for one in your area. My first (and only) SAT score was 1980. My ACT (superscored) was 35, which is roughly equivalent to like a 2340 on the SAT. </p>

<p>Either way, I think you should take another standardized test, like you said.</p>

<p>Definitely qualified applicant. But if you’d like to set your acceptance in stone then you have to raise the SAT a little like cj02 said.</p>
