chances for canadian

I am thinking of applying to Upenn -wharton, and im curious as to where i stack. Is there any advantage to being foreign (canada). Also note that i dont require financial aid (not sure if its a benefit)

Grades (no GPA's in canada)
grade 9- 88
grade 10- 88
grade 11- 89
grade 12- 94

in quebec its a different system... i should actually be a freshman at college now, but you have 11 years of HS, then 2 years of "college (years 12, 13)" then 3 at uni. notwithstanding this, i am applying to freshman year at penn.

My HS rank was top 10 percent, but its a magnet school, where only 10% of applicants get in.

SAT:
2150

SAT 2:
Chem: 740
Physics: 770
Math Level 2: 800

There are no AP's in quebec, canada.

EC:

Senior Band (10-11)
Tutoring (10-11-12-13)
Debating- Won 2 montreal tournaments (grade 9)
Student Government (11)
Competitive, Interscholastic Trivia Team (10,11,13)

Employment:
Medical Assistant (2 summers)

Business Experience:

I run, and own a ticket brokerage with $10,000 in sales a year, and 2 employees, in existence since early 2006)

(I would like people's feedback if i should include this on the application to business school, I may even right my essay about it as one of the questions was "state when you took a risk and it paid off)

THANKS ALOT. CANADA SALUTES YOU!
if you need any extra info, i will be happy to provide it

Definitely include your business in your application to business school. Not requiring financial aid may help your application because you are applying internationally. Your test scores (the SAT IIs) look pretty good. What is your SAT score without the writing component (most schools still aren't taking it seriously)? By American standards, your GPA is not great (assuming that they calculate it by converting each year to a letter grade.) The difficulty of your schedule, your letters of recommendation and your essays will make all the difference.

your business app will help you a lot.
your scores are good, but your Ecs arent great at all (besides business experience)

your GPA is not great

Your acceptance will depend now mostly on essay and recs. so make sure theyre killer

just curious, which cegep do you go to?

His GPA IS great. From Columbia's website for International students:

My course grades on my undergraduate transcript are based on a different scale from Columbia’s. What can I do?

You need to get your transcript officially converted to the GPA scale by an appropriate agency (GPA is on a 0-4 scale) before submitting it. It is your responsibility to complete this conversion and the C.S. Dept. does not provide recommendations of which agency to use. For the online application, you can enter an approximate conversion of your percentage grade. A guide is given below:

Grade Grade Point

Approximate % Equivalent
A+ 4.0 90-100
A 4.0 85-89
A- 3.7 80-84
B+ 3.3 77-79
B 3.0 73-76
B- 2.7 70-72
C+ 2.3 67-69
C 2.0 63-66
C- 1.7 60-62
D+ 1.3 57-59
D 1.0 53-56
D- 0.7 50-52
