<p>I am an international applicant from India hoping to major in electrical engineering.
I am applying for RD.
Here are my stats
SAT
CR :590
Math :740
Writing :650
Total :1980
(I know its not enough, but I will retake in December and hope to increase it to 2100+)
Class rank :1/56
10th percentage :94.6%
11th percentage :89%
12th mid year :80%(teachers are strict in corrections because they want us to prepare for final exams)
Indian courses are rigorous for 11th and 12th grades.</p>

<p>ECs :
Best student of the year for 11th grade
Attended an internship in a technical plant
Participated and won in inter school quiz competitions
Currently hold a 6th grade certificate in solo piano from the Trinity College of London
Leader of the ecology club and member of math club and quiz club in my school
Done a community service of 100 hours in an NGO for underprivileged children
Played soccer in school level
My city is not yet fully developed and hence I have tried to utilise all the opportunities given for me.</p>

<p>So, do I have any chance for CMU electrical engineering?

<p>Considering your background as an international student and the opportunities you have, I’d say you have a decent chance! As long as you bring your SAT score up a bit, or maybe try the ACT? If you had the chance, I’d recommend it as it’s a bit easier. </p>
