I am applying Early Decision to Emory and have comparable stats...what i have been told by many people is that i am in good standing, so it seems as if your son would be too... his extra curriculars could be a little stronger and if he has won any awards for anything, he should include those in his applications as well. if he really wants to get in, make sure he goes to visit...they love to see that you have expressed interest in the school.. the only thing he might be lacking is leadership, which could be a negative that emory will see...but if he expresses in one of his essays somewhere how he demonstrates leadership quality, i think he could be in good shape for Emory.
