Possible hooks: I think im an URM, though i'm not sure. I've lived in egypt, Saudi arabia, Canada, and the USA (diversity). I speak 3 languages (arabic, english, and french).

So what do you guys think? Do i stand a chance?

wow! very impressive especially arabic part. your grade & score is very low. URM only applies if you are: hispanic/african american/native american. I say you have a 20% chance but if you write an amazing essay and show A LOT of interest then you might get in. enphasis on your living in 3 places especially egypt/saudi arabia. make sure it will either make them laugh or cry. if you are asian you definitly have a greater than 60% chance (not being racist or anything but how many asians can speak arabic fluently). whatever you do just make sure you stand out (not that hard to do seeing above).

I’m actually Egyptian, haha. I know my ACT/GP are pretty low, but maybe they will look at my class rigor and AP/IB courses and reward me for those. Thanks for the information! Besides my supplement (which is limited to 250 words), is there any other way to show them that i am really interested in your opinion?

request dvd, visit!, email admission officer, request to be on their online mailing list, get to know someone that went/is going to emory, get to know someone who graduated from emory, visit when they come to your school, contact a department that your are interested in… basically there that checklist on the emory supliment and the more squares you can fill/check off the better. I had 12 total  I would advise contacting their foreign language department. when you select a future major, you should do linguistics or something that is like that (you can change it when you get in)

Your objective info is pretty poor for Emory. top 20% and such a low unweighted gpa will really hurt you, in addition to the 29, which is below the 25th percentile for Emory. Your subjective info seems interesting, and will make you seem like an interesting applicant. However, given the weakness of your objective info, you will have to be pretty amazing in terms of subjectives to be accepted.

Reach.

Lower than a 20% chance. GPA and ACT are too low. Usually one of the two measures has to stand out.

thanks for the opinions guys, i really appreciate it. I guess i’ll just have to wait and see.
