college

Just wanted to also say thanks for any replies. My phone is being dumb right now so I can’t make the post right. And I want to major in chemical engineering so since GT is gonna be my super reach, can you guys recommend any other schools I might be able to get into? Preferably in the south? Let’s just say finance isn’t a problem just to move things along

Bumpbumpbump

I began my career as a chemical engineer, but that was long ago. For what its worth, besides Georgia Tech the southern schools that we recruited Chem Es from were University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, North Carolina State, Clemson, University of Tennessee, University of Texas, Texas A&M, University of Houston, and Rice. Virginia, Texas, and Rice would be big reaches for you, but the other schools would be reasonable for you to look at.

yea im in state for clemson and they already sent me a provisional acceptance a few weeks ago so im not so worried about that. virginia tech is also on my list but ive heard that’s relatively easy to get into? with my stats tho might not be so easy…and yea UVA’s and the other two are super high reaches, not even thinking of wasting my time with those. I don’t think I put it in the other post but chem eng. is what im most likely gonna major in as well. thanks for the response

oh yea haha guess i forgot to mention im retaking the SAT in october. my CR has improved a lot, i’ve been getting 690-720s on practice test in my BB, for math I got Gruber’s math workbook and I’m gonna work through it and see where I am afterwards. And I’ve never really studied for writing so we’ll just see how that goes next time. Also forgot to mention 2 things for my ECs. I’ve been working as a cashier since April and I tutor algebra and spanish. when i first started working I was a bagger and then they promoted me to cashier. is that gonna look good on the college app?
