Chances for getting accepted as a ME transfer student?

Hello,

I’m a senior in high school who is also enrolled at CCGA. My high school GPA is 3.45 (W), so my chances of getting admitted as a freshman in GT are pretty low. However, my high school counselor told me that I have a much higher chance of getting accepted as a GT transfer student (even though I have to wait all the way until spring of 2019 to transfer). I’m currently getting my A.S. in pre-engineering from CCGA, which isn’t part of the REP program, but all of the classes for that degree can transfer over:

My cumulative GPA at CCGA is 3.37, which isn’t that high, but I still have time to bump it up a bit. Meanwhile, my math and science GPA is fairly high.

I don’t know how important it is to admissions, but I’m a while latino male living in a rural part of southeast Georgia. I work as a math tutor at my college and I applied recently to work as an engineering intern at Gulfstream for next summer, so we’ll see how that pans out.

What do my chances look like?

Thanks!
