Chances for GT, MIT, UGA, Caltech, Carnegie Mellon

I was wondering whether if I should send in early apps to GT, because I was debating whether it would be worth waiting to improve my 27 ACT writing score.

I'm seeing GT as a decent shot, UGA as a safety, Caltech and Carnegie Mellon as kind of dream schools, and MIT just for the sake of applying.

Asian male, 12th grade, probably majoring in engineering
-GPA (unweighted): 3.9 (1 B on freshman year :( )
-ACT: 27 on writing, 33s and 34s on everything else
-SAT: 1990, abysmal writing score and okay math+reading score
-Rank: 13/800 ish (school is not super competitive)
-APs: 9, world, stat, apes, apush, physics b, (taking bio, lang, Econ/gov, calc bc)
-SAT II: 800s on math 2 and physics, 780 (or 750?) on apush

ECs:
A lot of clarinet:
-played with a lot of regional ensembles, including AYWS (one of the best in the area for wind instruments) and GCYS.
-made state honor band from 6-11th grade, likely again this year; placed as principal chair several times
-went to a state-sponsored camp called GHP (for music) where they select you from out of a lot of people through auditions and interviews; a lot of fun + great essay material

Community service:
-Volunteered at Clarkston as a tutor for refugee children from 10th to 12th grade.
-went on a mission trip to New Mexico to tutor underprivileged Navajo children

-fenced during 10th grade, joined school's fencing club
-currently in NHS (in probation, but I'll make sure to make up the hours)

-Science olympiad: our school team is very competitive, and I got to be a part of the national team and compete in the state and national tournament (medaled in state tournament)
-Robotics: team leader, qualified for and participated in the world championship

I don't think I'll have great teacher recs... I don't really "know" that many teachers.

These are the biggest things that I'll probably have in my application. Please error on the safe side, thanks!

Bump
