SAT: 780M 760 CR 660W (kill me on the writing)

Top ten percent GPA
Gigantic Upward Trend
I got raped by a C+ in Spanish II Honors first semester freshman year
GPA (approx). 3.75 (only 3 A's frosh year, straight A's save for one B sophomore year) schedule for jr year looks as though at most 2 B's all school year (including both semesters)

EC's: 3rd Place at United States Karate Federation National Championship Tournament (hook?)
Scholastic Bowl (Captain)
UNICEF (VP)
Model UN (Various Awards)

also will have taken Multivariable Calc

School is very affluent and sends most of top 5% class to ivies or comparable schools

Your SAT is good(CR+M) but your GPA is a little bit low for those tops.
EC's are interesting.
You have good shot on every school listed but they are tops, which means no one can confidently predict.

I think your in at Michigan, Northwestern and Chicago for sure. All your other schools are tough for anyone, but you have a good shot at all of them as well.

I've got a hunch you'll get into UChicago...you don't seem to fit their stereotype, so they'll accept you for diversity's sake, if not for your (very competent) stats.

In at UMich, too. Dartmouth, Princeton, Yale are reaches. NWestern is a tossup.

daman11, thanks for chancing me. The least I can do is return the favor. I would say Northwestern, UChicago, UMich-Ross should be closer to fits. As for MIT, Stanford, and Dartmouth, you are in their bracket, but then again so are 90% of the people who apply to those schools. Do the interviews so the admissions committee can decide whether or not you actually "fit" at their school. I think you've got the stats (GPA could be higher), but it will really come down to your character.

thanks for chancing me man. You have a shot at all of them. Great work. NW Chi and Mich-Ross are fits. The others are so tough you never really know. Good luck!

Umich & UChicago youre in at. Besides that its pretty much a crapshoot. however i believe youll be a highly competitive applicant and have a great shot at these schools. Good luck!!!

Don't worry about the writing. Most schools barely even consider it...which is unfortunate for me.

Your "gigantic upward trend" definitely makes you a strong candidate for any of your prospective schools, although I would suggest diversifying your list. Most of those are far reaches for any candidate.

Wait a minute...are you a junior? Don't worry so much, man. :p

I would say...
MIT - reach
Stanford - reach
Princeton - reach
Dartmouth - reach
Northwestern - reach
UChicago - high match/low reach(?)
UMich-Ross - match

Its always so unpredictable with top schools. I guess after their initial scrutiny of application, it all really depends on your ECs, essay and recomendations.
btw, I wouldn't worry too much about your writing score.

In at Michigan's Ross School of Business. In at Chicago if you write strong application essays. In at Northwestern if you apply binding ED. In at MIT. In at Dartmouth & in at Stanford if you apply EA/ED. Princeton is a reach even in spite of your stellar scores.
