Chances for Purdue Undecided ---> Compsci?

I had someone recommend to apply as undecided if going to compsci as the course path is exactly the same and it’s most likely easier.

GPA: 3.3 Weighted
New SAT: 1430 (700 Reading 730 Math 20 Writing)
I am from California so applying OOS. I do not need financial aid (not sure if this helps my chances)

AP Courses:
AP World History- 5
AP Physics 1- 3
AP Calculus AB- 5
AP Computer Science Principles- 5
AP US History - 5

Senior Classes:
AP Stats, AP Environmental Science, AP Compsci A, AP Government/Politics, AP Macroeconomics

EC’s:
-Internship at small hardware company to revamp their website
-Internship at small startup for a marketing role
-Created website generating over $5k in a year.
-Lots of experience in web design
-Various statewide hackathons
-Varsity Badminton 4 years
-Red Cross, Key Club, Chess, Programming Club at my High school
-Over 250 Hours in volunteering

Can anyone tell me if I should give it a shot? If so, is it better to declare compsci or go in undecided?

Thanks

I (in state) got accepted into CS with a slightly lower SAT score than that, a lot fewer EC’s, and only four AP classes (my school doesn’t offer many). Your GPA may be a bit low, as it is below the middle 50% of the current freshman class. Hope that helps. Good luck!

@enohpeleT What was your GPA?

My high school GPA was 3.90, but I did not take very difficult courses. You seem to have taken plenty of difficult classes, so Purdue will take that into consideration when it comes to your GPA being on the lower side, but a higher GPA is preferred. I would certainly still apply, as your EC’s especially good. Good luck!
