Chances for Universty of Maryland, College Park???

<p>Background: I am a Korean-American female, currently living IN Maryland.I am a senior. Both of my parents did not go to college. My mother does not work and my father owns his own contracting company. My older sister attends UMCP currently. We are financially stable.</p>

<p>Academics:
My weighted cumulative GPA is 3.2 and my unweighted cumulative GPA is a 3.5.
My unweighted GPA is a 3.9/4.0 and my weighted GPA is a 4.33/5.00.
I have take mostly all Honors and AP courses in my high school career. The AP courses that I have taken are APUSH, AP Biology, AP world history, AP Lang, AP Lit, AP Physics, AP Calc, and AP Psychology.</p>

<p>SAT Scores:
580- critical reading
610- Math
600-writing
(My SAT scores are pretty bad, I am aware.)</p>

<p>Your SAT scores and GPA are significantly lower than their average, but you do have some good EC’s and a rigorous schedule. The biggest thing working against you, however, is the fact that you’re korean. the in state might help tho, and if you applied early that could also benefit you</p>
