Chances for USC?

My dream school has been going to UCLA as long as I can remember, however with my current stats, I don’t think it will be likely. I’ve been told USC takes students with less strong academic backgrounds (not bad students, just not at a Berkeley or UCLA level)
Stats:
3.7 WGPA
30 ACT Super scored
6 AP Courses
Athletics (Wrestling for three years; Captain of JV sophomore year)
Community Service
Part of 6 clubs (Board Positions in all)
Pretty solid application essays
Shadowed doctors
Completed internships over summer

I applied as Biomedical Engineering and Global Health and Disease Prevention as my backup. I hope to continue there as well for medical school. I’ve had many family members, none of whom parents or grandparents, attend USC. Is there any hope for me to get into USC? Thanks in advance!

Sorry to rain on your parade, but USC is just as competitive as UCLA/UCB. What is your unweighted GPA? USC also looks at Freshman-Junior year and 1st semester Senior grades, while the UC’s will only use 10-11th grades in their GPA calculation and admission decisions. Essays are important for all these schools, but USC may put more emphasis in this area along with EC’s. USC also likes high test scores so your ACT and GPA will be an issue.

Compare your Stats to the Freshman profile for 2015 and see where you stand.

Usc does not superscore for act.

There is always hope, but it will behard for you. 3.83 is the average for uw gpa. Im lacking there too. Im submitting mine on the 15th and if you are, we can talk more.

I sent my application prior to December 1st in hopes of being qualified for scholarships. I’m not too sure if they do or don’t superscore the ACT ikim16

Your chances for USC is no better than for the two top UCs.
