i think you have a good chance at all the schools except ND. ND is really hard to get into. I have a feeling that if your school is as weak as it is, it will be really hard for you to get in. Also your SAT are not great (there good though) Dont give up hope. My junior year i had sats inthe 1150-1200 range. I took them senior year and got a 1380. I think with alot of work youll be able to get at least that that, or better. If you get above a 1400, it think you have a legit chance at ND. Best of luck to you.

Would add Holy Cross and maybe Colgate both better academic reputations than Boston College or Bucknell. Alumni network at Holy Cross is very strong.

You think Wake comes ahead of UVA and Georgetown for Finance? I am not too sure about that. I would say Stern > UVA > Georgetown > Wake > Richmond.

yes, undoubtedly for undergrad, should give uva more credit tho
highest cpa passing rate in country
again:
nyu
wake/uva
gtown (very good economics)
richmond

Guys,
I am from Taiwan, studying in the international school of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. I have been in the international school since the fourth grade (I am now in grade 11). During grade 9-10, I was doing the IGCSE course from Cambridge University, and now I am doing the IB diploma and here are the courses that I am now taking:
-English Standard Level
-French Standard Level
-History Standard Level
-Mathematics Higher Level
-Biology Higher Level
-Chemistry Higher Level
-Theory of Knowledge
-CAS and Extended Essay
My averge GPA is about 4.1~4.2. (about 3rd in ranking) For the Old SAT I got 1400 (V: 610 M: 790) and planning to take the new one (planning to acheive 2150+ on the new one). I'm expecting about 800 for Math IIC, 770+ for Biology M and 750+ for Chemistry. My TOEFL result was: 650 PBT and TWE: 5.5. And I am anticipating excellent recommendations from my teachers.
My grades are: (1~7 highest)
-English Standard Level-7
-French Standard Level-6
-History Standard Level-7
-Mathematics Higher Level-7
-Biology Higher Level-7
-Chemistry Higher Level-7
-Theory of Knowledge-6

I am now the leader of the concert band and string ensemble of my school, and I have participated in Model United Nations in Seoul and Beijing. I have taken music exams from the Associate Board of Royal Schools of Music, and passed grade 7 violin and grade 5 theory examinations.
I have been accepted into the summer school at Harvard University and Cornell.
I decided to attend the summer college at Cornell; it is a research program in biology and I am one of the only 6 admitted into the progam; it was very competitive.
I am planning to major in molecular biology.

How are my chances at:
Harvard/Princeton/Yale (with ED?)
Stanford/MIT- for MIT I don't need SAT I because I am an international student! (with ED?)
Columbia/Brown
Cornell
University of Chicago
the UCs
UT - Austin

Jared Chen - you kind of took over caddyshack's post didnt you? Make another thread so people can give you feedback centered wholly on you. I am not sounding mean or anything, it just is not fair to caddyshack.
Caddyshack - You get yourself a 31 on act or 1400 sat you are set set set in all those places. It is so possible to do so. Just buy a prep book. for act, which i recommend you take over the sat, buy "the act for braniacs" you can buy it online from barnes and noble or you may find it at an actual barnes and noble. GOOD LUCK AND YOU DEFINITELY HAVE A CHANCE! Put time into your applications and you will be all set.

im already registered for the may 7th SAT and im pretty sure im gonna take at least 2 sat II 's in June. do you have any idea of when i should take the act? my guidance counselor recommended i take both and then retake whichever i got lower on. im not sure if ill have time for the act this spring especially with regents exams, the SAT, sat II's, and AP tests. any thoughts?

I would take the act in mid june, then take it again, even if you do well in october. YOu can take the sat over again in september i believe. And take 3 sat IIs in june because i am pretty sure you need three at colleges. writing math and one of your choice i believe. and make sure you prepare for these tests. I know you have a lot of standardized tests, but it will pay off to prepare. for the act I suggest "the act for braniacs" i used it for my english score and i went from a 25 to a 33 on the english part. Dont let this stuff stress you out though. Yes you have a lot to do, but think about it
you have weeks between each exam and if you allot time for each one effectively, you will be fine.
