<p>and how the hell do you take 17 APs throughout hs? That seems illogical.</p>
<p>oh crap my bad it's actually 13, and ive taken 9 ap classes that actually teach on the subject and ive self studied 6. Bump any more chances.</p>

<p>Hey, I don't know if this bothers you, but Amherst doesn't accept AP credit.
That might be a factor, since you worked so hard to study for and pass so many exams.</p>

<p>High AP scores will give you a slight nudge in admissions.</p>
<p>Amherst does not accept APs for credit.
However, you may use them to place into higher level courses, in the technical fields.</p>

<p>Your essay should be more than just solid. You need something to stand out, and if you don't have sports or something, you'd better be an amazing writer......</p>
