Hey, I am an international student and there isn't anything like ap classes in my school
am I going to get hurt for that? Because everybody in my school has the same classes... We don't get to choose which ones we want!
I am valedictorian though.. What do you guys think?
Thanks!!!

colleges won’t penalize you for something that’s not available and being a valedictorian and an international student is great. what are your standardized test scores though?

Well i only took two sats 2
spanish 800 (not my first language)
bio 650 which i plan to take again later this year
math 2 to be taken but predicted score ranges between 710-740

I am also taking the sat this June but I predict 2130 or up
(took it without studying vocab or anything)
what do you think?

sounds good then. spanish is especially impressive because i’ve heard a lot of people take that who have spanish as their first language. the ivies are crazy though no matter what your gpa and test scores and all that stuff. they’re such a crapshoot. btw what country are you from?

I was born in Germany but moved to brazil some years ago
so I speak 4 languages fluently…
does that count?
Funny you said sth about gpa, I was going to ask you about it. My school is really tough and getting an 8 is crazy hard here (out of 10) But when you think of an a b c scale that would be sth like a b right? Even though a d, a lousy score, means 4 or 5 in my school (to fail u gotta do worse than 5)
ultimately, my gpa would be kindda lower, maybe 3.5 out of 4
how are the universities going to see that?!

Are you an international student too, sunnysideup10
