Chances in ucd

I’m a citizen of the U.S., but I did my schooling in India. In the 9th I got a CGPA of 9.2, in the 10th 9.6 (CBSE Board). After 10th I changed to the state Board and got about 70% in my eleventh grade. I have an SAT score of 1260 and ACT score of 30.
What are my chances of getting into UC Davis? And how about the other UC’s and Cal State Universities?

What is your intended major? What about extra curricular activities?

Are some UC stats and I do not know how your grading system compares to the 4.0 point system:

2018 UC capped weighted GPA averages and not major specific:
UCB: 4.23
UCLA: 4.23
UCSD: 4.16
UCSB: 4.13
UCI: 4.13
UCD: 4.11
UCSC: 3.96
UCR: 3.81
UCM: 3.71

2018 Data:
25th - 75th percentiles for SAT:

UCB: 1360-1540

UCLA: 1340-1540
UCSD: 1300-1520
UCSB: 1270-1500
UCD: 1220-1480
UCI: 1230-1490
UCSC: 1210-1450
UCR: 1130-1380
UCM: 1020-1280

25th - 75th percentiles for ACT:
UCB: 30-35
UCLA: 31-35
UCSD: 28-34
UCSB: 28-34
UCD: 26-33
UCI: 26-33
UCSC: 26-32
UCR: 22-30
UCM: 19-26

Depending upon your major, your SAT score is on the low side for several of the UC’s but your ACT is within range. UCD is possible along with Santa Cruz, Riverside maybe Santa Barbara and Irvine.

Since there are 23 Cal states you will need to narrow down your selections. You could probably get into most of the Cal States with the exceptions of Cal Poly SLO, CSU Long Beach, San Diego State and SJSU (some majors) again depending upon major.

You realize that although you are a US citizen, you are not a California resident? so you will be paying Out of state fees at $65K/year to attend a UC and $40K/year for a Cal State.

No actually I will be qualifying for the resident tuition under the Condit bill as my dad has lived in the states for the past two years
Also, I intended to major in Biology and will be choosing psychology as my alternate major

Most UC’s do not consider alternate majors and Biology/Biological sciences is an impacted/selective major at many of the UC’s and Cal States. You should consider retaking the SAT or retry the ACT for the best chances.
